Aleydabeth, Lyle's Fraser 36' sailboat was launched in August 2008. She took 4 1/2 years to build from a bare hull and she remains a work in progress. In July and August of 2009 she sailed and motored in the Georgia Strait, Desolation Sound, and the Sunshine Coast. She successfully circumnavigated Vancouver Island with her skipper and crew Lyle and Anthony, in August of 2009. She sailed the west coast to the Sea of Cortez in the fall of 2010 and wintered there enjoying the sites and people. The story is under the Destinations page of the blog.

A little visual history of Aleydabeth's beginnings and construction:
Aleydabeth's construction was a labor of love and a dream come true for Lyle. It was a huge undertaking and has changed our lives.
She is a pretty boat and sails well. We hope for fair winds as we plan for her voyage down the west coat of the United States and Mexico into the Sea of Cortez scheduled for the fall of 2010. |
